Welcome to Cornwall

Visit us, relax and enjoy good food in congenial & spacious surroundings.

David & Susan have farmed at Stephengelly for many years. We are now semi-retired & offer informal hospitality in our farmhouse home to a family or a couple or to two or three friends. If you value having the ‘visitor space’ to yourselves you will appreciate being our only guests.

Our guest room looks out onto gardens with fields beyond. This room has a double & a single bed, spring water for the power shower in the ensuite is heated by solar panels or the kitchen wood-burner. If two bedrooms are required an adjacent room can be available. There are facilities for making tea.

The visitors sitting room has good selection of books & leaflets about Cornwall. There is a TV & a wood-burning stove which can be lit on cold evenings.

Breakfast. mostly home made & or home grown, is usually served in the conservatory, which is south facing with a variety of plants & an interesting view of the gardens.

Apple juice, cereals or porridge, stewed fruit & yogurt.
Eggs cooked as you like them, (local bacon on request).
Butter with jams & honey for your toast.
Tea or coffee.

B&B from £24 per person per night
( E.M. by arrangement £10- £15 )

Stephengelly is a traditional grassland farm with small fields & wildlife friendly hedges & copses. In addition to our main farm business we keep a house cow & bees, two farm dogs & a cat who lives above the stables. We have a large kitchen garden & several apple orchards. We do not allow animals inside the farmhouse. You may like a guided farm walk.

The farm is situated in an unfrequented lane south of Bodmin. The central location make it an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. It is an easy drive to the Eden Project or either coast. The Camel Trail at Nanstallon is 2miles, the local area is well served by cycle routes.

The Saints Way special (Padstow to Fowey via Lanivet) We offer 2 or 3 nights B&B with supper, a packed lunch & any necessary transport to guests who wish to walk the Saints Way.
